ZINGA was applied on a highly corroded high tension power pylon of the electricity company FURNAS , in February 1999. The surface was manually prepared by metal brush, sand-paper and by degreasing with turpentine.
Zingasolv was used to clean the brushes and to dilute the ZINGA when necessary. Considering the aggressive area, 2 layers were applied with a DFT of 40 μm with an interval of 2 hours. The total surface was 332.31 m². 5 Kg ZINGA pails were used covering 11 m².
ZINGA was applied in an ambient condition of high humidity.
Adhesion tests gave a very positive result.
