In 2004 ZINGA was specified for the rehabilitation of guardrails at ECP Service Road and Kampong Java Road. The guardrails belong to LAND TRANSPORT AUTHORITY (LTA), and they were previously Hot Dip Galvanized and installed in 1994.
A combined length of 1 km of guardrails were Zinganized. Below you can see some pictures of the application of ZINGA that was carried out. To enable cathodic protection of the guardrails with a 10 year warranty against corrosion, the surface preparation team was first using mechanical power tools and wire brushes followed by water jetting to remove loose rust and contaminants. The application of ZINGA was first done by brush and then by roller.
